• Tara-Thon for Tarayana

  A run along the lateral road from Kanglung to Thimphu has been organized by two Canadian lecturers from Sherubtse College, Tony Robinson-Smith and Nadya Ladouceur. This is a fund-raising event for the Tarayana Foundation for the cause of economically disadvantaged children’s education in Bhutan. This is their way of giving back to Bhutan for all they received from their Bhutanese friends and colleagues during their two-year tenure at Sherubtse College. Tony and Nadya will be accompanied by ten Sherubtse students throughout the strenuous run across the country, while many others, especially Tarayana School clubs members will run few stretches with them, raising awareness on Tarayana voluntary services, health messages, distributing Tarayana sponsorship forms and collecting donations.
