A)
38-10-BH-105: Improvement of
Education Facilities in Trongsa
Objectives:
The main objectives of the project are to equip schools
in Trongsa with the basic necessities for effective teaching
learning program and improve communication between schools
and the District Education Office. Green boards, typewriters
and duplicating machines will be provided to the schools and
District Education Office will receive two computers with
printers. The provision of these materials will not only
help the schools but also the non-formal learners as all the
23 Non-Formal Centres in Trongsa are attached with the
schools.
B) 38-10-BH-106: Improving
Resources to Facilitate the Quality of Education in
Lhuentse.
Objectives:
Lhuentse
is one of the farthest districts from the capital and thus one
of the
least
developed. This project endeavours to assists in its
development through
the schools
in the district. Thus, objective again is to improve the
quality of
teaching
learning environment by supplying the schools with the very
basic
requirements
such as green boards. In addition, four of the recently
electrified
primary
schools will be supplied with computers with printers and
twenty schools
will receive
a cassette player each.

38-10-BH-107: Gross National
Happiness (GNH) and Education.
Objectives:
The project aspires to increase the awareness and
understanding of GNH,
especially, among the youth of Bhutan through the media. In
this connection,
the project will support the coverage of the Second
International Conference
at St. Francis University, Antigonish, NS by a Bhutan
Broadcasting Service (BBS)
journalist. The BBS will produce three radio/TV programs on
GNH and two
programs on cooperation and connection between Canada and
Bhutan,
especially in the education sector.
D)
38-10-BH-108: Procurement of Green
boards and other equipment for
schools in Tsirang Dzongkhag
Objectives:
The project will supply 90 green boards for the schools in the
district. Since
it is the only high school in the district, Damphu Higher
Secondary School is
centrally located it has been proposed that it will receive a
fax machine, two
marker boards, two overhead projector, and a cassette player
to be used
especially during the district level educational activities.
